Etowah River Beekeepers was founded by beekeepers that wanted a club that not only focused on assisting and mentoring aspiring backyard beekeepers and helping established beekeepers increase their level of knowledge, but also wanted a club that placed an emphasis on community outreach.

The club meets monthly with meetings mostly focused on the beekeeping calendar and what beekeepers will be experiencing in their apiaries, but we also have expert guest speakers that will occasionally address the club. We also have regular opportunities for hands-on, hiveside learning at one of our two teaching apiaries.

The Officers and Directors are both new and experienced beekeepers that have held office, directorships and memberships in many other Georgia beekeeping clubs. The Etowah River Beekeepers is the only regional club holding a Charter Affiliation with the Georgia Beekeeper’s Association.
